Thermal model of selected parts of human hand and thermal touch screen for the blind

In this article, the authors present a model and a method of determining thermal parameters of a single point of the thermal touch screen for the blind and thermal parameters of selected parts of a human hand. Blind people, by using this device can "see" a pattern of dots by feeling hot spots. The thermal touch screen for the blind was used as a calorimeter and enables to calculate the amount of heat provided to a finger at a temperature ranging from 8°C to 52°C, that is the full range of temperature detected by humans. The authors designated thermal conductivity and heat capacity of both Peltier micromodule and parts of the user's hand. Results of the presented research allow optimizing the construction of the thermal touch screen for the blind and may be helpful for thermal modelling of the human body.

Klasyfikacja bonitacyjna gleb oraz wykreślone w latach ubiegłych na jej podstawie mapy glebowo-rolnicze na terenach eksploatacyjnych górnictwa węgla kamiennego niejednokrotnie nie odzwierciedlają stanu aktualnego. Z punktu widzenia wyznaczania wymiaru podatku gruntowego, wyceny wartości czy też waloryzacji gleb aktualizacja tych map jest zagadnieniem bardzo ważnym. W pracy podjęto próbę oceny wpływu antropopresji górniczej na modyfikację treści map glebowo-rolniczych oraz dynamikę zmian w strukturze użytkowania gruntów. Uzyskane wyniki pozwalają na stwierdzenie, że wpływ działalności górniczej na środowisko przyrodnicze prowadzi do zmian klas bonitacyjnych gleb.

Soil quality classes and typological soil maps drafted for hard coal exploitation areas usually do not reflect the actual state. From the point of view of tax purposes, value estimation and soil validation the actualization of these maps is very important. The attempt to estimate the influence of mining anthropopressure on typological soil maps content modification and dynamics of ground use structure was the aim of the work. The obtained results allow to state that coal mining activity influences negatively and in consequence leads to soil quality classes deformation.

Na podstawie skorygowanych materiałów inwentaryzacyjnych ustalono zasoby wodne ogólne w złożach torfu w województwie lubuskim. Celem pracy było wzbogacenie jakościowej i ilościowej charakterystyki środowiska przyrodniczego w Polsce zachodniej. Ogólne zasoby wody w 1947 złożach torfu na obszarze województwa lubuskiego przy współczynnikach pojemności wodnej 0,85-0,95 wynoszą 590 mln m3. Wskaźnik zatorfienia badanego obszaru wynosi 3,3%. Najczęściej występujące gatunki torfu to: turzycowo-trzcinowy (Cariceto-Phragmiteti), turzycowy (Cariceti), turzycowo-mszysty (Cariceto-Bryaleti) oraz olchowy (Alneti). Mając na uwadze wielofunkcyjne znaczenie torfowisk, ich znaczenie hydrologiczne należy brać pod uwagę w pierwszej kolejności we wszystkich działaniach gospodarczych.

Based on improved inventory materials the total water resources in peat deposits in the Lubuskie province were determined. The aim of the work was the enrichment of quality and quantity characteristics of natural environment in the Western Poland. The total water resources in 1947 peat deposits on the area of the Lubuskie province amounts 590 mln cubic meters for the water storage coefficient - 0,85-0,95. The most frequenty occurred species are: Cariceto-Phragmiteti, Cariceti, Cariceto-Bryaleti and Almeti. Taking into account multifunctional significance of peat-bogs, the hydrological aspect should be taken in the first place in all management activities.
