The large housing estates make up the place of investigative observations for architects, to -planners, as well as sociologists alike. Sociological processes set in this environment are analysed. problem of social marginalization of this group are frequently discussed. Large housing estates a symbol of some sociological mechanisms. Some actions have long been undertaken in order to harmony between the natural environment and space subordinated to the requirements of the civilization progress. The theory of balanced development is met with extreme interest and is popularized mainly the! countries of western and northern Europe. This also plays a significant part in building investments. Inj2001, in Switzerland and Austria, many habitable massive buildings were erected in Germany there were] over one thousand such buildings. The process of harmonious development is a progressive idea. The i-societies of the future will be forced to take greater care about natural environment than they do at present. In this connection, a new life style assumes the necessity of considering the principles of designing habitable objects. Sociologists carry out investigations into the problem of humanization of housing estates. Such surveys are helpful in solving town-planning problems and are taken into account by town--planners. In any housing environment it is necessary to demarcates areas for all sorts of activities of inhabitants. One solution is to expand private space and join it with public areas by laying out gardens on roofs, terraces, verandas, balconies or loggia.

Housing group known as block is inseparable part of scenery in every city. Today living in blocks is more the necessity than conscious choice. Housing groups known as housing estates as a form of housing building are the component elements of spatial structure of a city. In contrast to 19 th c. eternal tenement-house they do not create close and logical scheme. Inhabitants have problems with identification with their own place of living. Another important problem that has not been solved yet is the so-called car syndrome. The number of cars increases and they occupy vast areas. Building underground and many level parking is a good idea. In the case of recreation areas the important thing is that they should be closely connected with the given housing estate, so that one can feel the character of place. To solve the problem I suggest starting a campaign in media and proper education at schools.
