The author analyses a place of 'ideonyms' (proper names of spiritual life e.g. a picture, literary work, musical composition) in the structure of proper names. The analysis of these names, utilizing the theory of 'transonymisation' (R. Sramek), leads P. Zigo to a proposal to specify, along with 'literaronyms' (titles of literary works), a group of 'musiconyms' (titles of musical works). Concerning the musiconyms, he compares their semiotic structure (composer, author of the text, interpreter and adaptation) with a structure of literary work (an author of a text). Analyzing means of expression he points out the differences in the semiotics of a work of art which in the case of musiconyms needs a larger connotation potential of their recipients (examples: Romeo and Juliet as a title of classic literary work, opera, ballet and popular song; Fedora - opera and popular song, Tereza - opera and popular song; musiconyms like Svatopluk - epic poem by J. Holly and opera by E. Suchon, pairs created in transonymisation Peter and Lucia (literary work and opera of M. Bazlik), Eugen Onegin (poetic work and opera) or musiconyms motivated with historical events and bounded with a particular locality (Vltava, Tabor, Blanik).

From a long time ago researches have been done in the historical linguistic and dialectology and they will always remain as a part and meaning of national identification, especially in time when the searching for national identity has got a support in the natural, uncontrolled language development and when it respects a past experience. Semantic analysis of vocabulary in dialects of particular Slavonic languages after a complex area elaboration - for instance in the Slavic Linguistic Atlas project - gives a testimony to differentiation as well as integration features of examined items with surrounding language environment. On several illustrative examples, such as 'dedina' (village), 'strom' (tree), 'hora' (forest), the author points out the constants that are permanent identifying features of Slovak language and that, in course of natural development from a supra-dialect sphere in the pre-standard period, have become constituent parts of the contemporary standard Slovak language.

The paper deals with research interests of Eugen Jona focused on description of dialects of Novohrad. These dialects - their system, development and functioning - are varieties that Eugen Jona knew from his own experience. Their summarizing description has been preserved in a manuscript of Jona's unfinished monograph Novohradske narecia (Dialects of Novohrad) that was intended to be a part of a complex encyclopaedic work Novohrad. The manuscript of the dialect monograph by E. Jona was published on the occasion of centenary of his birth and from the cognitive point of view besides the description of the system it brings considerable sociolinguistic findings of the author - a shift of many regionally differentiated or territorially defined items towards common Middle Slovak features.
