Ferromagnetics from airborne dusts, chimney dusts as well as brown coal combustion slag may be used as indicators of homogenization degree of soil and ashes mixing. They may be also used for determination of melioration doses to be applied for separate soil layers. In order to do this magnetic susceptibility (mHz per volume unit) of ashes and soils as well as their mixtures should be determined. From the regression curve (y=% of ash volume, x= Hz per volume unit) it is possible to calculate the percentage of ash in ash and soil mixture. Magnetic susceptibility can be quickly and easily determined by using ferromagnetics analyzer (FMA-500, Forgenta).
