Thirteen bulls divided into 3 groups, two experimental of 4 animals and one control were used. Experimental animals were inoculated intratesticularly with two different doses of chlamydial suspension. Regardless of the dose of the pathogen, an acute orchitis and periorchitis simultaneously with general symptoms resulted in response to experimental infection, however these symptoms did not resemble field cases of chronic orchitis granulomatosa. The role of Chlamydia in bringing about the enzootic orchitis granulomatosa was discussed.
