Tematem artykułu jest krytyczna analiza granic pojęcia tekstu wyznaczanych przez parametry ekskludujące, występujące w wybranych definicjach tego pojęcia. Ma ona na celu stwierdzenie, czy parametry tekstualności, jakimi współcześnie dysponuje lingwistyka tekstu, są adekwatne również w odniesieniu do tzw. „nowych światów tekstu” obecnych we współczesnych mediach. Odpowiedź na to pytanie jest twierdząca, mimo iż przeprowadzona analiza ujawnia przykłady dysonansów pomiędzy takimi jednostkami, a wyekscerpowanymi parametrami tekstualności w ich tradycyjnym rozumieniu. Wydaje się, iż nie jest potrzebna zmiana istniejących parametrów (które nadal posiadają wysoką wartość metodologiczną), a jedynie zmiana w podejściu do nich. Ich relatywizacja umożliwia otwarcie pojęcia tekstu na nowe jednostki tekstowe poprzez rozszczelnienie granic pojęcia tekstu, przy ich jednoczesnym zachowaniu w obecnym kształcie.

Das Thema des Beitrags ist eine kritische Analyse der Grenzen des Textbegriffs, die von den exkludierenden Parametern in ausgewählten Text-Definitionen bestimmt sind. Ihr Ziel ist, festzustellen, ob die Textualitäts-Parameter, über die die Textlinguistik zur Zeit verfügt, auch in Bezug auf sogenannte „neue Textwelten“ in den gegenwärtigen Medien gelten. Die Antwort auf diese Frage ist positiv, auch wenn die durchgeführte Analyse Beispiele für Diskrepanzen zwischen solchen Textsorten und den exzerpierten Textualitäts-Parametern im traditionellen Sinne gezeigt hat. Vermutlich ist keine Veränderung der vorhandenen Parameter (die nach wie vor einen hohen methodologischen Wert haben) notwendig, sondern die Veränderung in ihrer Auffassung. Ihre Relativierung ermöglicht die Öffnung des Textbegriffs auf neue Texteinheiten durch die Erweiterung von den Grenzen des Textbegriffs beim gleichzeitigen Erhalten dieser Grenzen in ihrer bisherigen Form.

The subject of this article is a critical analysis of the boundaries of the text concept which are determined by excluding parameters in selected definitions of text. The analysis aims to determine whether the parameters of textuality currently used by text linguistics are appropriate also in respect of the so called ‘new text worlds’ in the contemporary media. The answer to this question is positive, although the analysis has revealed examples of discrepancies between such text units and the excerpted textuality parameters in their traditional sense. Evidently, it is not necessary to alter the existing parameters (which still have a considerable methodological value) but to alter the attitude towards them. The relativisation of those parameters helps to open the notion of text to new textual units through the dehermetisation of the boundaries of the text concept while preserving their present shape.
