The velocity of ultrasound and the density were measured in the mixture of 1,3-dioxane and water in the temperature range 288-308 K. Based on the results obtained. adiabatic compressibilities were calculated from Laplace's equation. The dependence of the compressibility upon concentration indicates the formation of a stable liquid structure which we tried to compare with the solid clathrate II.

Problems with interpretation of experimental data from the investigation of a diffusion process using photoacoustic effect are considered. Based on Fick's 2nd law the problem of drug diffu-ption through the membrane is solved, and distribution of drug concentration in membrane as a function of time is calculated. The obtained solution allows one to derive the distribution of heat sources arising in the membrane illuminated by intensity modulated light. Subsequently the temperature of the illuminated membrane surface is analyzed numerically. Results of theoretical analysis are compared qualitatively with experimental data.
