The paper discusses selected aspects of security related to Lake Solina. The focus is on the rescue operations conducted in the area between 2007 and 2015 for the purpose of helping tourists and individuals engaged in various forms of recreation. The paper attempts to meet two types of goals: the theoretical goal is to discuss the security of tourist and recreation activities in the Lake Solina area, with a particular focus on rescue operations, and the practical goal of the article is to analyse the rescue operations conducted in the Lake Solina area related to tourism and recreation, determine their causes and structure and the time of day at which they were most frequently conducted. The sources used in the analysis include incident documentation kept by the Volunteer Water Rescue Service (WOPR), Police and State Fire Service. The analysis is also complemented by a questionnaire study conducted among WOPR members operating in the Bieszczady area. Various other information acquired in the course of the author's own observations was also used to analyse the incident rate in the Lake Solina area.

Artykuł porusza aspekty bezpieczeństwa na Jeziorze Solińskim. Dotyczy akcji ratowniczych prowadzonych na tym akwenie w latach 2007–2015 w zakresie pomocy turystom i osobom uprawiającym różne formy rekreacji. Na potrzeby opracowania postanowiono zrealizować dwa rodzaje celów: celem teoretycznym było omówienie kwestii bezpieczeństwa związanego z aktywnością turystyczną i rekreacyjną na Jeziorze Solińskim, ze szczególnym zwróceniem uwagi na akcje ratownicze, natomiast celem praktycznym artykułu było przedstawienie analizy akcji ratowniczych prowadzonych w obrębie Jeziora Solińskiego w zakresie turystyki i rekreacji, scharakteryzowanie ich przyczyn, struktury oraz wskazanie, w jakich porach były najczęściej podejmowane. Materiałem, z którego czerpano informacje będące podstawą przedmiotowej analizy, była dokumentacja wypadków prowadzona przez Wodne Ochotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe oraz przez Policję i Państwową Straż Pożarną. Analiza została wzbogacona wywiadem kwestionariuszowym, który przeprowadzono z osobami zajmującymi się działalnością w Bieszczadzkim WOPR. W toku badań zostały wykorzystane również różnorodne informacje na temat wypadkowości na Jeziorze Solińskim pochodzące z obserwacji własnych.

This article raises important issues regarding security aspects in the mountains. In this assessment, we have analysed casualty statistics and rescue operations carried out in Polish Tatra Mountains in the years 2006-2011. The main aim of this study was to analyse casualty statistics and rescue operations done in Polish Tatra Mountains in the chosen years for our survey and above all stressing the rapid growth of changes occurring in relation to casualty statistics in the region in question. In our assessment, we have applied the analysis of the documents made available to us by the courtesy of Polish Tatra Mountains Voluntary Rescue Team. The parametres resulting largely from these statistics, focussed the main attention on assessment of the overall sum of casualty figures in each separate year, as well as death accidents, serious and slight injuries and rescue operations carried out so far.
