The aim of the article is to present not only the assumptions of social network-based e-learning course, but also the conclusions resulting from its design and implementation. The subject of an analysis is the course 'Designing and conducting online courses', whose three editions have gathered more than 50 participants, among them teachers, trainers, educators and business workers. The starting point for the article was the idea that adult learners require a specific environment for online learning. Its task is to provide support and ensure the conditions for common learning by sharing experiences, participation in activity and practical application of acquired skills. An important course component was also directing attention to deepened learning and to the processes of becoming a 'reflective practitioner'. The authors refer to particular features of such environment and they present the theoretical background as well as certain methodical solutions applied in the course.
