It is expected to strike shale gases within the Ordovician-Silurian deposits of the Podlaska-Brest Depression as well as Devonian sediments of the Pripyat Trough. А cross section of the Silurian sediments is represented mostly by the carbonate-сlауеу deposits with а thickness uр to 500 m along the Belarus-Poland border with the bed thinning at the distance of 50=60 km to the East from this border. The total organic concentration (ТОС) doesn't ехсееd 4= 5°/о with R° = 0.5=0.65°/о. The Depth of the layer occurrence ranges from 300 m in its eastern part to 1100 m nearby the border. А package of geophysical and laboratory works indicates а possibility to detect gases of the shale type within the Silurian-Ordovician deposits. It is expected the shale gas detecting in inter-the-salt deposits of the central part in the Pripyat Trough, where the cross section has clayey-mudstone rocks. The ТОС = 3=7% with R° = 0.85=1.15. Gas indications were observed according to the mud logging and positive indications according to the well logging. It was forecasted gas-hydrates discovering within the northern edge of the Pripyat Trough within Devonian carbonates. We observed positive indicators of the hydrocarbon saturation here according to well logging data, water inflows from these intervals, as well as the drilling mud loss. Implicit data on gas-hydrate deposits were found as well within above-the-salt sediments of the Pripyat Trough and the Devonian deposits of the Orsha Depression.
