This publication focuses on describing the phenomenon of hate as a social manifestation of pathology on the Internet. It is above all an attempt to classify hate speech recipients in this environment. The author of the publication pointed out the mechanisms and examples of the use of hate speech towards ordinary Internet users, people known to the public, business entities and communities. He also described examples of the response to hater attacks and attempts to counter this phenomenon by both hate speech recipients as well as international organizations and representatives of the IT industry. This work has been based on a descriptive and analytical model.
