Podstawowy problem to dlaczego finanse łańcucha dostaw powinno być ważnym obszarem zainteresowania menedżerów logistyki. Odpowiedź na to pytanie oraz identyfikacja metod zarządzania finansowego w łańcuchu dostaw są celem badawczym niniejszego opracowania. Artykuł składa się z czerech zasadniczych części. W pierwszej wskazano na współczesne tendencje w dziedzinie zalecanych metod zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem i ich konsekwencje dla zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw. W drugiej uzasadniono równoważny charakter finansów łańcucha dostaw z problematyką fizycznego przemieszczania oraz przepływu informacji. Część trzecia dotyczy identyfikacji różnic między celami zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem a celami zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw złożonym z wielu autonomicznych przedsiębiorstw. Wreszcie część czwarta została poświęcona potencjalnym metodom zarządzania finansowego w łańcuchach dostaw, akcentując znaczenie nowych instrumentów dla budowania przewagi konkurencyjnej łańcucha jako całości.

The key problem is why supply chain finance should be an important area of interest for logistics managers. The answer to this question and the identification of the supply chain financial management methods are the research objectives of this paper. The article consists of four parts. In the first one, we present contemporary trends in recommended business management methods and their implications for supply chain management. The second justifies the equivalence of supply chain finance with the issue of physical movement and information flow. The third part deals with the identification of the differences between the objectives of enterprise management and the objectives of supply chain management. Lastly, the fourth part was devoted to potential methods of financial management in the supply chains, emphasizing the importance of new instruments for building competitive advantage of the chain as a whole.

The aim of the paper is to identify and characterize radically different models of supply chains. On the one hand, it tends to indicate the economic basis of theoretical existence and development of these different models and, on the other hand – that reconstructs their basic attributes. According to authors the model of symbiotic supply chains are one example of sharing economy institutions. The presented model should be treated as ideal types (of the Weberian sense), which is extremes actual business practice. It can become the starting point for assessments of real supply chain and design directions of their improvement.
