Jak wykazały badania przeprowadzone w IBDiM oraz w Politechnice Gdańskiej, piaski łamane zwiekszają istotnie odporność betonu asfaltowego na deformacje trwałe. Ocena jakości piasków łamanych na podstawie wyników badań i wymagań określonych w normie PN-B-11112:1996 Kruszywa mineralne. Kruszywa łamane do nawierzchni drogowych jest niewystarczająca. Przeprowadzone prace badawcze pozwoliły stwierdzić, że do właściwej oceny piasków łamanych przeznaczonych do mieszanek mineralno-asfaltowych niezbędne są: wstepna ocena wizualna i pełna analiza sitowa materiału oraz pełne badanie wypełniacza w przypadku stwierdzenia zawartości frakcji <0,075 mm w ilościwiększej lub równej 10%. Można również oceniać cechy powierzchniowe (ostrokrawędzistość, stopień rozwinięcia powierzchni) ziaren piasku na podstawie kąta zsypu naturalnego. Metoda ta wymaga jednak sprawdzenia poprzez badania odporności na deformacje trwałe mieszanek mineralno-asfaltowych z udziałem różnych piasków, dla których wcześniej oznaczono kąt zsypu naturalnego.

As has been shown during the tests carried out at the RBRI and the gdaäski Technical University crushed sands increase essntially the resistance of bituminous concrete on permenent deformations. Crushed sands quality assesment based on tests results and requirements determined at standard PN-B-11112:1996 Moneral aggregates. Crushed aggregates for road pavements is insufficient. Performed researh has allowed to find that for the adequate assesment of crushed sands provided for asphalt mixes were necessary: preliminary visual assessment and complete sieve analysis of material as well as complete tests of filler in case of finding that the fraction < 0,075 mm quantity had amount > 10%. One can also assess the superficial characteristic (sharpe-edgeness, degree of surface development) of sand grain basing on the natural chute angle. This method requires, however, verification by resistance on permanent deformations tests of asphalt mixes with application of different sands for wich the natural chute angle has been earlier determined.

Informacja pasażerska jest jednym z ważniejszych elementów współczesnego transportu zbiorowego. Została stworzona po to, by zmniejszając zaangażowanie pasażerów w poszukiwanie informacji, oszczędzać ich czas i zwiększać wygodę. Jeszcze do niedawna były to papierowe rozkłady jazdy i tabliczki z namalowanym kierunkiem jazdy, montowane w pojazdach. Tradycyjne sposoby informowania pasażerów powoli są zastępowane przez rozwiązania wygodniejsze, skuteczniejsze oraz o większym zakresie i zasięgu przekazywanej informacji.

Intelligent Transportation Systems are systems that provide a wide set of various communication technologies and management techniques used in transport in order to protect the lives of road users, increase the efficiency of the transport system and the protection of natural resources. Passenger information is one of the most important elements of modern transport. It was created in order to reduce the involvement of passengers in the search for information, saving them time and increase convenience. Traditional methods of informing the passengers are slowly being replaced by more convenient solutions, more efficiently and with greater scope and range of information.

Traffic control is a component of transport system, on which safety and efficiency of means of transport movements substantially depend. It is not possible to achieve and maintain appropriate availability of traffic control system unless issues of appropriate maintenance servicing of traffic control equipment have been resolved. This will require applying a specific servicing policy, worked out on the basis of such system availability model. The servicing of a technical object is understood as any treatment, which results in restoring the object’s state of availability. Servicing may consist in a repair of equipment or in its inspection. Classification of servicing optimisation models, in respect of using appropriate mathematical methods, such as Markov models, is presented.

Influence of electromagnetic fields on the environment and the man and the threats analysis connected with electromagnetic fields on chosen workstations in the rail transport are a purpose of the paper. Results of measurements and exposure assessments of employees of traction substations, engine drivers of locomotives and employees operating radar gauges were introduced. Also results of measurements were presented for persons serving means of communication, so as radio stations, radiotelephones.

Transport Telematics includes systems, which allow to affect behavior of traffi c participants and operation of technical system assembled in means of transport or on route of movement. First projects related with Transport Telematics began appearing in the world in seventies last century, however in mid-year nineties has been introduced offi cially the term Intelligent Transport Systems on fi rst congress ITS. In highly developed countries transport innovations are treated as priority direction of research, however these problems are still not suffi ciently noticed in Poland. But fi tting of transport infrastructure potential for economic and social requirements requires application range of different operation, including not only traditional structure of new road, but enforcement into existing infrastructure the new property through realization of Transport Systems Telematics concept. Article aims to present the current situation of public transport passengers, mainly urban service buses, in Upper Silesia. It seems that after completing the Ring Road within the largest cities in Silesia the road might become an ideal communication route linking those cities. Information from the Far East show that there are created a new kind of the means of transport, waiting for the implementation and social acceptance. Article is intended to help look at the situation of the movement of passengers in the small-area, but very populated province of Silesia just by such means of transport.

The article discusses the cooperation of point machines with switch point Rz 60E1-760-1:14 with mechanical coupling clamp locks in standard version and Integrated Roding version. The use of switch points with more clamp lock is correlated with the need to use switch points with large strokes and radius allowing passage through the switch point at high speeds.

W artykule przedstawiono procedurę modernizacji urządzeń blokady międzystacyjnej typu PUS na kolejach niepublicznych. Blikada ta służy do prowadzenia ruchu pociągów między stacjami. Dotychczasowe urządzenia są wykonane w technice przekaźnikowej. W ramach modernizacji sterowania została zaprojektowana wymiana przekaźników blokady na moduł mikroprocesorowy. Fizyczne interfejsy urządzenia pozwalają na prosty montaż w istniejących systemach sterowania.

The paper discusses a procedure of modernization of interstation line block in non-public railways. This block serves the purpose of train traffic control between stations. The hitherto used equipment is made as relay-based. The synthesis of interstation block equipment constitutes a basis for development of a general model of relay-based system transformation into microprocessor-controlled ones in the traffic control automation.

Changes in the act on Public Roads and some other acts are intended to implement in Polish law the provisions of European Parliament Directive 2006/38/EC on fee collection for use of some types of infrastructure by heavy vehicles. According to the bill submitted to the Polish Parliament (Sejm) by the government, the vignette system was to cease to operate on 1st July 2008. After the works undertaken by Infrastructure Commission some changes was introduced to the bill to the act on public roads. The main changes concern maintain the vignettes up to the half of 2011 and introducing the electronic fee system from 1st July 2011, also rise the vignette charges to stabilise the NRF’s budget for next three years. The paper present the evolution of legislative path accompanied constructing motorways in Poland.
