The main aim of the paper is to present the stability analysis of a fractional-order PI controller with firstorder, time-delayed plant based on Bode plot. In the paper there is a comparison, presented between the tuning method based on Hermite-Biehler and Pontryagin theorems with, and without taking the gain and phase margins into consideration. The quality performance is based on two quality indices, namely the Integral of Absolute Error and the Integral of a Squared Error.

Głównym celem artykułu jest analiza stabilności obiektu pierwszego rzędu z opóźnieniem oraz regulatora PI rzędu ułamkowego na podstawie charakterystyk Bode'go. W pracy zaprezentowano porównanie metod strojenia opartych na teoriach Hermite-Biehler'a i Pontryagin'a gdy zapas modułu oraz fazy są brane pod uwagę oraz gdy nie są brane pod uwagę. Jakość śledzenia jest oparta na dwóch wskaźnikach jakości całki z wartości bezwzględniej uchybu (IAE) oraz całki z kwadratu uchybu (ISE).

The main aim of the paper is to present the analysis of anti-windup compensation impact on tracking performance for a second-order plant and continuous-time PID controller and five different simple anti-windup compensators. The performance of the system is compared on the basis of computing differences between the integrals of absolute and squared tracking errors for the system with and without compensation, as well as observing the excess of windup phenomena taking place. Parameters of the controller are computed according to pole-placement scheme. The control system quality is described on the basis of two quality indices for a stable oscillatory second-order plant and a square reference signal.

The paper aims at presenting the influence of an open-loop time delay on the stability and tracking performance of a second-order open-loop system and continuoustime fractional-order PI controller. The tuning method of this controller is based on Hermite- Biehler and Pontryagin theorems, and the tracking performance is evaluated on the basis of two integral performance indices, namely IAE and ISE. The paper extends the results and methodology presented in previous work of the authors to analysis of the influence of time delay on the closed-loop system taking its destabilizing properties into account, as well as concerning possible application of the presented results and used models.

The article presents research on the automatic whispery speech recognition. The main task was to find dependences between a number of triphone classes (number of leaves in decision tree) and the total number of Gaussian distributions and therefore, to determine optimal values, for which the quality of speech recognition is best. Moreover, it was found, how these dependences differ between normal and whispery speech, what was not done earlier, and this is the innovative part of this work. Based on the performed experiments and obtained results one can say that the number of triphone classes (number of leaves) for whispered speech should be significantly lower than for normal speech.
