With rapid urbanization and the rise of climate change awareness, policy makers and urban planners are seeking methods and schemes that consider the urban heat island (UHI) effect. In order to investigateto what extent a homogeneous urban fabric leads to a specific thermal pattern, a local climate zone (LCZ) scheme was utilized and classification has been applied in the urban areas of Chongqing. Urban indicators were calculated to match LCZ types of measurement points. Using a mobile measurement approach, we analyzed screen-height air temperature distribution inside local climate zones in both spring and summer. An apparent seasonal difference inside LCZs was found, with air temperature amplitude about 0.8ºC in spring and 0.9ºC in summer. The average air temperature difference in LCZ 1 was 2.9ºC between the two seasons, while in LCZ H this difference was as high as 3.5ºC. The reasons why LCZ H had relatively high air temperature were explained and further investigation of UHI using LCZ scheme was proposed.

In order to explore a more reasonable structure and operating parameter, guide the design and improve the gasification of seawater Open Rack Vaporizer (ORV), Research on the rules of seawater that flows and heat transfer in the ORV tube was studied in this paper. By simplifying the model, heat transfer tube model with spoiler lever was obtained and simulated, the distribution of temperature field, gas ratio, velocity field and press field in rib tube were analyzed, and different inlet velocity of LNG, roughness of the tube wall both effected on the overall gasification, the results shows that the actual gasification efficiency from heat transfer tube is higher than normal, small difference of gas ratio outlet, velocity and temperature are both lower, LNG could be easer gasified at operating temperature between -162°C~+3°C than that between -162°C~+0°C.

An efficient and reproducible Agrobacterium-mediated transformation system via repetitive secondary somatic embryogenesis was developed for Rosa rugosa ‘Bao white’. Somatic embryogenesis was induced from in vitro-derived unexpanded leaflet explants on MS medium supplemented with 4.0 mg/L 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), 0.05 mg/L Kinetin and 30 g/L glucose. Secondary somatic embryos were successfully proliferated via cyclic secondary somatic embryogenesis on MS medium containing 1.0 mg/L 2,4-D, 0.01 mg/L 6-benzyladenine and 45 g/L glucose under light intensity of 500–1,000 lux. The highest germination rate (86.33 %) of somatic embryos was observed on 1/2-strength MS medium containing 1.0 mg/L BA. Relying on the repetitive secondary somatic embryogenesis and A. tumefaciens strain EHA105 harboring the binary vector pBI121, a stable and effective Agrobacterium-mediated transformation pattern was developed. The presented transformation protocol, in which somatic embryo clumps at globular stage (0.02–0.04 g) were infected by Agrobacterium for 60 min and co-cultivated for 2 days, and then selected under a procedure of 3 steps, were confirmed to be optional by GUS histochemical assay and Southern blot analysis. The procedure described here will be very useful for the introgression of desired genes into R. rugosa ‘Bao white’ and the molecular analysis of gene function.

A method for determining eight biogenic amines in surface water was established using high-performance liquid chromatography–triple quadrupole mass spectrometry to improve on the detection sensitivity of current methods. The limits of detection and quantification were 0.05 and 0.2 μg L⁻¹, respectively, for histamine, cadaverine, spermine, and spermidine, 1.0 and 3.0 μg L⁻¹, respectively, for putrescine, 1.5 and 5.0 μg L⁻¹, respectively, for tyramine and tryptamine, and 2.0 and 5.0 μg L⁻¹, respectively, for 2-phenylethylamine. The recovery of biogenic amines from spiked water samples was between 97.3 and 108.6% at levels between 0.05 and 15 μg L⁻¹ (R > 0.999). The relative standard deviations were in the range of 0.10-0.29%. This method can achieve rapid and accurate determination of biogenic amines in surface water, and it meets the minimum residue measurement requirements.
