With the progress of science and technology, increased demands citizens to the services it provides city. This led to a transformation in the structure and functioning of cities. Globalization, the effect of which is to reduce market restrictions, also contributed to the increased demands on service providers, or cities. At a time when society has become more mobile, before agglomerations puts the task of being more and more attractive to potential residents. Even in this area can be seen growing competition. In Poland, there is not one city that has a policy of sustainable transport, despite the fact that for this purpose takes EU money. The biggest problem, however, are not investments, but the spatial policy of cities and suburban communities, which promotes uncontrolled, chaotic urbanization making crowds of several thousand inhabitants of the car. There are many reasons for departing from the inhabitants of the cities public transport to private transport. The main reasons for this are: high ticket prices, inadequate course of the development of urban agglomerations Polish, low quality interchanges discouraging intermodal travel, travel time, etc.
