Censorship is one of the major manifestations of power across the society in public communication. It is a targeted institutional interference into the rights of authors or publishers, even regardless of the type of political organization of society. The study approaches the complexity of working of the mechanism of censorship through brief diachronic perspective; the particularity of censorship mechanisms then presents in particular historical period (1918–1953), characterized by a number of political and social milestones.
