The article concerns the issue of the resignation of the voivodship marshal in the light of the Act of 5 June 1998 on voivodship self-government in the context of the possibility of re-election resigning to the voivodship board. According to the author, the aforementioned Act does not provide for any exclusion in this respect, therefore the voivodship marshal who resigned from his function may be re-elected to the voivodship board, including he may become the voivodship marshal again. Adopting a different interpretation would conflict with art. 65 section 1 of the Polish Constitution of April 2, 1997.
