The purpose of this paper is the identification and analysis of the multidimensional consequences of implementing the concept of circular plastics economy in reality. The paper presents the concept of plastics and the history of development of the plastics industry. Selected negative environmental consequences of plastics consumption were indicated. This paper shows a rationale behind and key objectives of the Strategy for the plastics in a Circular Economy. It discusses the essence and scope of circular plastics economy. The proposed instruments for implementing the concept of circular plastics economy and the consequences of their application have been characterized in an integrated way. The paper attempts to answer the question whether and to what extent EU actions contribute to solving global environmental problems (oceans pollution, chemicals contaminations of waters and soils, destruction of ecosystems and landscapes). This paper is based on literature reviews and documents published by the European Commission.

The aim of the paper is to analyse the theoretical aspects of the European Green Deal and to identify its potential impact on the Community's regional development processes. The paper presents the objectives and assumptions of the doctrine and its global dimension. The theoretical foundations of the doctrine in economic and social dimension have been defined. An attempt was made to identify and analyse the impact of the European Green Deal on regional development processes in the European Community. Regional development has been defined as the process of development of economic potential, increase in the competitiveness of economic entities and the standard of living of the countries' inhabitants, in their regional decomposition, which takes place as a result of transforming factors and resources into goods and services, ensuring economic security. The influence of the European Green Deal on factors of economic growth and development, factors of competitive advantage of countries, system of both public and private value (natural resources, national assets), transformations in the structure of economies (emerging and declining industries), as well as costs necessary to make the doctrine a reality were indicated.

The aim of the paper is to characterize depopulation trends in the concept of sustainable development and to analyse their impact on structural changes in the population in the global perspective and the resulting economic consequences. The roots of depopulation trends were presented. Global approaches in the perception of population as a factor of economic growth and development were characterized. The problem of depopulation in selected international programming, strategic, and religious documents was analysed. To a limited extent, due to the controversial nature of the issue, tools implementing depopulation were presented. The economic and social consequences of the decrease in the population were indicated.

Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka nurtów depopulacyjnych w koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju oraz analiza ich wpływu na przemiany strukturalne ludności w ujęciu globalnym i wynikające z tego konsekwencje ekonomiczne. Przedstawione zostały korzenie trendów depopulacyjnych. Scharakteryzowano globalne podejścia w postrzeganiu liczby ludności jako czynnika wzrostu gospodarczego i rozwoju. Analizie poddany został problem depopulacji w wybranych międzynarodowych dokumentach programowych, strategicznych oraz religijnych. W ograniczonym zakresie – ze względu na kontrowersyjność zagadnienia – przedstawione zostały narzędzia urzeczywistniające depopulację. Wskazane zostały konsekwencje ekonomiczno-społeczne zmniejszania się liczby ludności.
