Wyzwanie stanowi umiejętne wybranie oraz wdrożenie koncepcji zarządzania, która ściśle jest związana z tradycją firmy, aktualnym stanem przedsiębiorstwa, oraz czynnikami zewnętrznymi wynikającymi z otoczenia systemu. Business Process Reengineering to metoda polegająca na gruntownym przekształceniu procesów przedsiębiorstwa, która ma na celu poprawę jego funkcjonowania. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie reengineeringu procesu pakowania wyrobu gotowego w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie przemysłowym.

Dynamically changing environment, progressive globalization, increasing competition and crisis risk require the development, improvement and implementation of innovative management systems. The challenge is to carefully select and implement a management concept that is closely linked to the company's tradition, the current state of the enterprise, and the external factors of the system environment. Business Process Reengineering is a method of fundamentally transforming an enterprise's processes to improve its operation. The article discusses the concept of reengineering and describes the implementation of this method for the packaging of finished products.

Dynamically changing conditions of business activity, rapid development of new technologies, increasing intensity of competition, progressing globalisation pose for entrepreneurs new, much more difficult principles than before, especially due to the increase of intensity and complexity of the environment. It is reflected in the necessity of continuous improvement of processes and their quick reorganisation. The aim of the article is to present research conducted in metallurgical enterprise. In the article individual stages of heat treatment process, taking into consideration complications, errors and quality defects of the product arising at the stage of manufacturing the product were described. In order to minimize resulting defects, quality improvement system was implemented, using, among others Ishikawa diagram. In view of the fact that the world stands on the threshold of next industrial revolution, directions of improvement of heat treatment process in the context of Industry 4.0 were indicated.

Popular legislative initiative is not a well-known and common institution in legal systems of European countries. The initiative is the right of a specified number of citizens to lodge a petition for enacting a certain law. This type of popular initiative is regulated only in a few countries where regulations vary from formalized to schematic and superficial. However, there is no doubt that popular legislative initiative is considered as a significant supplement of parliamentary democracy. There are two main types of legal regulations concerning popular legislative initiative. The first one can be found in the Polish legal system where the whole burden of organizing popular initiative (concerning e.g.: establishing the initiative committee, collecting required number of signatures, financing all the activities associated with the initiative) is put on the initiative's organizers, whereas public authorities do not assist. The second type can be found in Austria where the state assists in organizing the popular initiative - municipality carry out all the activities associated with gathering signatures under the popular motion on submitting a draft of a bill to parliament.

Zaprezentowano specyfikę działania firmy ubezpieczeniowej oraz zasadność stosowania systemu informacyjno-decyzyjnego. Scharakteryzowano zadania stawiane takiemu systemowi, poczynając od celów ogólnych, a kończąc na obszarach działania firmy, w których system jest wykorzystywany. Zanalizowano wybrane aspekty likwidacji szkody komunikacyjnej przy użyciu wspomnianego systemu.

This article presents the improvement of claims handling in insurance company and increase its competition by using computer assist decision system CHEX. It also presents specificity of insurance company action and shows legitimacy of using information and decision system. This article describes the tasks which are standing at the system, from generał aims to this company's work area where the system is using. It presents selected aspects of claims handling by using aforesaid system.

Zaprezentowano autorską propozycję konstruowania narzędzia SKW. Wskazano, że orientacja procesowa strategicznej karty wyników pozwala w sposób przejrzysty zaprezentować wyniki osiągane przez poszczególne przedsiębiorstwa oraz pozwala na ich porównywanie.

The paper presents the possibility of using the Balanced Scorecard to measure the competitiveness and efficiency of business processes. Presented an original proposal to construct tools BSC. It was pointed out that the orientation process scorecard allows you to transparently present the results achieved by the individual companies and allows them to compare.

Wraz z rozwojem przemysłu, a w szczególności tworzeniem inteligentnych fabryk zbudowanych z inteligentnych systemów cyberfizycznych pojawiło się określenie Przemysł 4.0 jako oznaczenie dla czwartej rewolucji przemysłowej. Siłami napędowymi czwartej rewolucji przemysłowej są infrastruktura IT i Internet, a jej podstawowy element stanowią dane, które należy przetworzyć i zagospodarować. Rozwój inteligentnych systemów produkcyjnych ukierunkowany jest na uzyskanie autonomii poprzez właściwości samokonfiguracji, samokontroli, samonaprawiania i samouczenia się maszyn w ciągu produkcyjnym. W wybranych branżach przemysłu w krajach wysoko rozwiniętych pojawiły się zakłady z nowymi rozwiązaniami organizacji produkcji, z użyciem cyberfizycznych systemów produkcyjnych, przemysłowego Internetu Rzeczy, produkcji opartej na chmurze komputerowej i danych, spersonalizowanych wyrobach i innych rozwiązaniach. Celem artykułu jest prezentacja i opis nowego słownictwa, które najczęściej pojawiają się w odniesieniu do Przemysłu 4.0.

The development of industry and smart factories with cyber-physical systems caused that new term of industry appeared, the term was “Industry 4.0” as a sign for the fourth industrial revolution. The driving forces of the 4th industrial revolution are IT infrastructure and Internet with its basic elements that is data that needs to be processed and managed. The development of smart production is aimed at achieving autonomy through self-configuration, self-control, self-repairing and self-learning of machines using in the production process. In selected industrial sectors in highly-developed countries, there were new plants with new production organization solutions, using cyber-physical production systems, Industrial Internet of Things, cloud computing, Big Data, personalized products and other solutions. The aim of the article is to present and describe the new vocabulary that most often appear in relation to Industry 4.0.
