The author tries to present personalistic philosopy of Spanish scientist and thinker Pedro Lain Entralgo in the fifth anniversary of his death. His investigations concern the material included in Lain's philosophical books - from 'La espera y la esperanza' (1957) to 'Que es le hombre. Evolucion y sentido de la vida' ( 1998) - and the most important remarks of his Spanish critics. He divides the creation of Pedro Lain Entralgo into two periods. The first one is related with neothomistic thought that are presented in books form 50's, 60's and 70's. He examines the antropology of hope proposed first of all in 'La espera y la esperanza' and the problem of another man analysed in two volumenes of 'Teoria y realidad del otro'. The second period's monistic philosophy is based on the thought of Xavier Zubiri - maestro of Latin - and courageous attempts of employing results of particular sciences. The author's main purpose was the most possibly exhaustive presentation of achivements of Spanish philosopher and calling the attention to consequences of that manner of philosophical thinking.

Due to lack of practical energy sources – ones that are ecological, economic, portable and capable of being regenerated – storage is necessary in modern world for many areas of life to which people became accustomed. Development of many devices requires convenient electric power sources, often providing high currents and voltages, capable of ensuring large amounts of energy in short time. New technologies of lithium-ion cell batteries are a promising solution to this problem – current technologies are frequently inadequate – however they still require massive workloads in research, development, implementation to industry, and then to consumer market. Because of advancement in this area and evergrowing group of people interested in it is imperative to render an overview of the situation and knowledge of this topic. This article presents a review of most intensely studied cathode materials capable of providing high power, viable paths of improvement and short description of most important features of lithium-ion cells along with issues requiring solutions.

It is increasingly accepted that the initiation of chemical carcinogenesis should be considered as a transformation process of a normal cell caused by genetic changes, i.e. mutational DNA damage and/or epigenetic changes, which render normal gene expression impossible with the preservation of the DNA sequence intact. Epigenetic DNA methylation changes have been among the most extensively investigated processes in the recent years. Many types of cancer cells have been found to exhibit an increased or reduced level of CpG sequence methylation in promoter regions of genes, especially the genes whose protein products take part in the control of cell cycle regulation. In view of the fact that DNA methylation is thought to play a role in gene expression, its abnormal level in the genes that encode proteins participating in the control of the cell cycle and apoptosis regulation may disturb cell homeostasis resulting in pathologies that may, in turn, lead to neoplastic transformation. Although changes in the mechanisms of transcriptional activity caused by methylation of cytosine in CpG sequences have not been completely elucidated, it has been determined that this relationship is associated with a decreased level of histone acetylation, which induced a more densely-packaged chromatin structures in the methylated regions of chromosomal DNA. A large proportion of chemical carcinogens consists of chemicals whose carcinogenic activity is not related to direct damage of the genetic material. The changes in DNA methylation are being considered as one mechanism of action for non-genotoxic carcinogens (NGCs). The significance of nongenotoxic agents in the development of the carcinogenesis rocess indicate that their mechanisms of the action should be investigated in terms of health hazards they pose to humans exposed to this type of environmental pollutants.

Computer and video games are more and more used for serous purposes not only for entertainment. In few last years we can observe very fast market development of serious games. They are used to education, simulation, research, health and therapy purposes. This paper describes main features of serious games used for psychology. Specialists prepare scenarios of games with therapeutic points. To fast, easy and efficient implementing such scenario of game the scripting language can be used. In this paper the main features of the scripting language the Sciptarin to support implementing serious games for psychology were described.
