The following paper depicts the application of the frequency converters type VLT6000 produced by Danfos in the process of steering the boiler-house burning straw producing heating power of 3,5MW in Lubań. The attention is paid to the benefits coming from the mentioned solution. The presented points are the process of burning, the control system, the individual technical elements of the boiler-house, technical balances and the parameters of emission. The paper pays the main notice to the development of the power industry using reconditionable fuel (biomass, wooden waste, biogas, etc.).
