Byzantine philosopher Georgios Gemistos Pletho (1355–1452) is regarded as the first Philhellene who rejected Christianity and attempted to restore the pogan religion of Hellenic gods. In his last work Books of Laws (Νόμων συγγραφή) he presents his own system of theology based on ancient philosophy and Greek mythology. The aim of the paper is to outline some main features of Plethon’s theology and to show the influence of Greek tradition on it.

The objective of this article is to share knowledge and observations on Top Management remuneration systems and its’ influence on growing company’s value. It is crucial to effectively manage the company in line with corporate governance to maximize its value in a long term period. One of the key challenges is to create and implement the successful remuneration system for Top Management via which owners directly or via supervision can influence managers’ work. This paper tackles the reasons for Balanced Scorecard failures in the companies. The aim of the first part is to present the essence, characteristics of Balanced Scorecard as an effective tool of making decisions, that are more efficient and diverse, in companies. The further goal was to show various type of failures during Balanced Scorecard implementation. The paper pinpoints three theoretical underpinnings and the current analysis of the reasons for BSC failures from the perspective of different authors.
