Oil fields of the Republic of Belarus have a wide range of geophysical properties of reservoir rocks. In the number of cases conventional development technologies don’t bring significant increase of oil production, and vice versa make the situation worse by decreasing it. In this connection for such deposits unconventional development technologies have been developed and implemented.
Herein is given the list of developed by BeINIPIneft polymer and mineral-polymer water-based compositions, designed for enhanced recovery from carbonate formations of Belarusian oil fields, developed using flooding method. The formations агг characterized by structural heterogeneity, higher temperatures (uр to 110°С) and water salinity (uр to 300 g/l), presence of calcium chloride and magnesium chloride in high concentrations. The results of laboratory studies of compositions in static and dynamic conditions were systemized. In particular, reological behavior of compositions under temperatures simulating surface and formation conditions, compatibility with formation fluids, thermal stability, capability to create filtration resistance to water flow in high-porous environments, etc. were studied. We show the data speaking for high efficiency of developed compositions implemented in the process of EOR operations on the oil fields operated by Production Association «Belorusneft». Some of the compositions are adapted to geological conditions of high-temperature oi1 deposits of Venezuela, operated by JV «Petrolera BieloVenezolana».
In the Republic of Belarus at present one of the most important problem is development of hard-to-recover reserves of oil, confined to low-permeability poorly drainable heterogeneous and split formations, which contain more than 50% of remaining hydrocarbon reserves. Hydraulic fracturing of formation (HF) is one of the most efficient methods of increasing productivity of wells, exposing such formations. During 2007-2010 Production Association « Belorusneft» gained experience of conducting hydraulic fracturing in carbonate and terrigenous reservoirs of deep-sunk (up to 5 000 m) low-permeability deposits. Current effect over performed operations enables to conclude on reasonability of application of the given technologies on the oil fields of Pripyat downfold. Hydraulic fracturing allows to activate the production from low-permeability formations and get incremental ultimate recovery from the deposits, which showed no effect when other stimulation treatments were performed. Implementation of hydraulic fracturing technology in carbonate formations along with fixation of created filtration channels with propping agent allowed to put on production the number of wells, which showed no effect when other exploration methods were used.
