This paper presents final results of E!2968 EUREKA – ECOLOGICAL DOCK project sponsored by the Polish State Scientific Research Committee. The consortium established for realization of the project is presented, ecological hazards are characterized, the most important legal regulations are specified, as well the design of the ecological floating dock SINE 212CD and a concept of conversion of the existing dock SINE 126CD to the class CLEAN is characterized. The paper also contains the complete bibliography of the elaborations done within the project. More information can be found on the web page www. oce.pg.gda.pl/oce2/eureka . This paper opens the series of the selected publications on various problems solved in the frame of the project, which are presented below.

The paper outlines the origin of the E. 2 772! project from the EUREKA group of European projects. Justification of undertaking the subject is given as well as the structure of institutional performers constituting the project executive consortium. Characterised is the final result in the form of preliminary designs of four modern ecological Baltic short shipping vessels: container carrier, product tanker, ro-ro ship and river-sea type ship. Comprehensive bibliography contains a list of all the project reports, which may be made available to the interested parties after a contact with the project coordinator. The paper opens a series of topical papers selected from the different problems dealt with in the project.

W pracy przedstawiono wykorzystanie systemu CAD/CAM/CAE w procesie projektowania i optymalizacji bryły samolotu. Zadanie zrealizowano w systemie Unigraphics NX na przykładzie lekkiego samolotu klasy VLA. Przedstawiono możliwości projektowania wybranych zespołów samolotu w oprogramowaniu CAD oraz korzyści z tego płynące. Zaprezentowano przykład optymalizacji położenia osi obrotu klapy w systemie Ansys.

The paper concerns CAD/CAM/CAE software in application to the design and shape optimization process of an aircraft. The Unigraphics NX was used for design process of the very light aircraft. Selected design tasks were presented. The optimization process of the pivot axis of the flap was described.

W pracy przedstawiono koncepcję budowy demonstratora technologii ultralekkiego samolotu jako platformy lotniczej sieciocentrycznego systemu wsparcia rozpoznania i dowodzenia. Przedstawiono koncepcję sieciocentryczności – model systemu wspierającego działania służb administracji państwowej. Model zakłada pozyskiwanie i udostępnianie informacji wszystkim uczestnikom w celu zwiększenia możliwości decyzyjnych i szybkości prowadzenia działań operacyjnych.

The paper presents concept of the prototype of very light airplane as an element of Network Enabled Capability System of Reconnaissance and Command. Model of the system aiding for operations performed by state security agencies. Model collects informations from all users of the system and shares it with every user which needs specific information. System accelerates decisions and increases effects of operations.

W artykule przedstawiono główne cele zastosowania inżynierii odwrotnej. Scharakteryzowano narzędzia do zdejmowania geometrii elementów statku powietrznego. Omówiono problemy związane z wykorzystaniem skanerów laserowych. Zaprezentowano metodykę odtworzenia geometrii naddźwiękowego układu wlotowego turbinowego silnika odrzutowego. Opracowano model zasadniczego i pomocniczego układu wlotowego silnika RD-33. W pracy przedstawiono charakterystyczne przekroje kanału przepływowego wtotu.

A new generation of inland environmentally friendly ships destined for waterways with critical limited depth is presented. General project concepts are supported by push system idea of standardized, optional equipped hulls for desirable exploitation necessities. A few traditional motor ships and barges are described as the background for comparison.

W pracy przedstawiono wybrane zagadnienia związane z obliczeniami wektora obciążeń zespołów samolotu klasy VLA. Zaprezentowano obwiednię obciążeń w locie, metodę i wyniki obliczeń obciążeń skrzydła i usterzenia dla przypadków symetrycznych i niesymetrycznych. Obliczenia wykonano autorskimi programami w oparciu o wyniki obliczeń aerodynamicznych metodą Multhopp`a oraz programu VORLAX.

The paper concerns selected problems of strength analysis and load calculations of very light aircraft elements. The flight envelop, method of load calculation of wings and V-tail were presented. Calculations were performed using Multhopp method and VORLAX.
