The mechanochemical synthesis of alternative inorganic material by means of the second raw materials seems to be very interesting. This paper is aimed at studying structural changes in reactive mixtures composed of fluidised fly ash and calcite or portlandite with Ca/Si ratio of 2 and 3 respectively during high-energy dry milling in planetary ball mill and subsequent calcination at temperatures up to 1200°C. The results of the XRD measurements have confirmed that mechanochemical treatment and subsequent calcination is a suitable way to calcium silicates preparation (C2S and C3S) from reactive mixtures of fluidised fly ash and calcium compound and to the utilization of fly ash as a basic raw material in the cement production.
