Private equity is distinguished by its active investmentmodel, in which it seeks to deliver operational improvements in its companies,over several years.The private equity industry in CEE was started more than 20 years ago and nowboasts multiple long-term experienced fund managers that have specialised in theregion and whose investors have done well.This paper tries to capture what is the PE / VC investment, what those firms havebeen doing across Europe, CEE and Poland in 2012 and prior year. It also showsthe resilience and the continued potential of private equity in our region.
