W pracy zajęto się określeniem wpływu obróbki laserowej na własności powłok nanoszonych elektroiskrowo. Ocenę własności powłok po naświetlaniu laserowym przeprowadzono na podstawie pomiarów mikrotwardości i naprężeń własnych oraz badań odporności na zacieranie. Badania przeprowadzono wykorzystując Mo i Ti jako materiały powłokowe (anody) nakładane elektroiskrowo na próbki ze stali C45 (katody), a następnie modyfikowane wiązką laserową. Do nanoszenia powłok elektroiskrowych użyto urządzenia produkcji bułgarskiej, model ELFA-541. Obróbkę laserową nałożonych powłok elektroiskrowych wykonano laserem Nd:YAG, model BSL 720.

In this paper studies on the effect of laser processing on the properties of electro-spark coatings were presented. The properties of coatings after Iaser irradiation were evaluated on the basis of microhardness and internal stresses measurements and abrasi on resistance tests. Tests were carried out using Mo and Ti as coating materials (anodes) electro-spark appIied to C45 steel samples (cathodes) and then modified with a laser beam. For the application of electro-spark coatings, a device of Bulgarian production, model ELFA-541, was used. Laser treatment of the applied electro-spark coatings was performed with Nd:YAG laser, model BSL 720.

W pracy przestawiono badania wpływu wybranych parametrów spawania laserowego na własności mechaniczne spoiny. Badano wpływ dwóch parametrów: prędkości posuwu oraz mocy wiązki. Na badania własności spoiny oraz stref do nich przyległych składały się następujące pomiary: statycznej próby rozciągania i twardości oraz obserwacje mikroskopowe. Przeprowadzone badania wykazały, że spoiny otrzymane przy różnych parametrach spawania charakteryzują się zbliżonymi własnościami mechanicznymi.

In the paper studies of the influence of selected laser welding parameters on the mechanical λproperties of welds is presented. The study examined the effect of two parameters: feed speed and beam power. The tests of the properties of the weld and the adjacent zones consisted of the following measurements: static tensile test, hardness and microscopic observations. A TRUMPF CO2 laser, Lasercell 1005 (wavelength λ = 10, 6 μm) was used for welding. The samples were made of 0,8 mm thick DC04 low carbon steel. The static tensile test was carried out on the LabTest 5. 20SP1 tensile and compressive test bench. The hardness tester NEXUS 4304 was used to the hardness tests. Microscopic observations were performed using a Joel scanning microscope type JSM-5400. Conducted tests show that welds obtained with different welding parameters are characterized by similar mechanical properties.

Properties of WC-Co coatings with Al2O3 addition on the C45 mild steel surface in acidic chloride solution were examined. The WC-Co-Al2O3 coatings on steel surfaces were deposited by an electro-spark (ESD) technique. The anti-corrosion properties of the coatings were mainly investigated by electrochemical methods. Moreover, the scanning electron microscope (SEM) was employed for the observation of the surface of materials. The structure of coatings depended on the composition of electrospark electrodes. In the WC80-Co5-Al2O315 coating, the largest corrosion resistance was shown. The corrosion rate of the specimen was approximately eight times smaller than the coating with out of Al2O3 addition. The aim of the research was to obtain, by adding alumina, an improvement in the functional properties of WC-Co coatings produced by the ESD method. Due to the original features of ESD coatings, they can be used in sliding friction pairs and as anti-wear coatings on cutting tools. C-Co coatings with AlO3 addition.

W artykule przedstawiono rozważania dotyczące możliwości rozszerzenia wykorzystania obróbki elektroiskrowej. Wykazano, że obróbka elektroiskrowa może znaleźć zastosowania nie tylko bezpośrednio w procesach wytwórczych lecz także pośrednio - w procesach modyfikujących cechy użytkowe obrabianych elementów.

In this paper considerations regarding the possibility of using electro-spark treatment were presented. It has been shown that electro-sparking can be used not only directly in manufacturing processes but also indirectly - in processes modifying the performance characteristics of the elements to be treated.

Przedstawiono rezultaty badań weryfikujących przydatność powłok węglikowo-ceramicznych w zastosowaniach narzędziowych. Badano powłoki WC-Co-Al2O3 oraz WC-Co-Al2O3/3TiO2 nanoszone elektroiskrowo na ostrza noży tokarskich oraz gwintowniki. Stwierdzono zróżnicowaną ich przydatność w obróbce skrawaniem.

The results of investigations verifying the usefulness of carbide-ceramic coatings in tooling applications are presented. The WC-Co-AlO and WC-Co-AlO/3TiO2 electrodeposited on turning knife edgess and threading dies were investigated. Their usefulness in machining was found to vary.

The paper describes the method of producing a zinc coating on steel by electro-spark deposition technology. The technology of applying electro-spark zinc to the surface was presented. Microscopic observations and corrosion resistance tests were made. The possibilities of practical application of this type of coatings in the process of repairing zinc coatings, either damaged or with manufacturing defects, were analyzed.

The paper discusses applying the laser technique to modify the copper heater surface. The interaction of the laser beam with the base material leads to its melting, and various shapes can be obtained during the process. The study is focused on the boiling heat transfer analyses of the specimen in the form of a disc with longitudinal microfins of a height of 0.5 mm. The optical microscope was used to determine the morphology of the surface. The laser beam generated significant roughness, which benefitted the overall thermal performance. Considerable heat transfer augmentation was recorded for the laser–made surface in relation to the untreated sample, which served as a reference. The heat flux was several times higher, while the laser–treated sample's boiling curves were shifted to the area of smaller temperature differences. Two boiling models proved unsuccessful in predicting the heat exchange process occurring during pool boiling of distilled water and ethyl alcohol. According to the Smirnov, Xin and Chao models, the average differences between the experimental data and calculation results were ca. 93 kW/m2 and 116 kW/m2 for water, 78 kW/m2 and 68 kW/m2 for ethanol. boiling, heat exchanger, laser beam

The work presents the use of laser texturing of DLC coatings to improve tribological properties. The coatings were applied by the PVD method to the rings made of 4H13 steel. The surface texturing was = 343 nm.performed with the TruMICRO 5325c picosecond laser with the radiation wavelength The surface microstructure analysis, surface microgeometry and microhardness measurements and tribological tests were carried out. The problem presented in the paper can be used to extend the knowledge of the areas of application of DLC coatings, especially in sliding friction pairs.

Furthermore, this paper delves into the wide-ranging applications of LST across different industries and fields. It examines how LST enhances surface functionalities, including improvements in tribological properties, wettability, friction reduction, and biocompatibility. Additionally, the utilization of LST for creating microstructures enabling advanced functionalities in optics, electronics, biomedical devices, and energy harvesting systems is discussed. Moreover, the challenges and future directions in LST technology are highlighted, which encompass advances in precision, scalability, and integration of LST with other manufacturing processes. The potential environmental implications and economic feasibility of LST are also discussed.

A number of modern surface processing methods use an energy flux. The examples include electro-spark deposition (ESD) and laser beam processing (LBP). The work concerns the study of Cu-Mo coatings deposited on C45 carbon steel, which were then eroded with a laser beam. The analysis included the analysis of the microstructure, measurements of macrogeometry and microhardness, corrosion resistance tests of selected areas after laser treatment. The coatings were applied with ELFA-541 and subjected to Nd:YAG laser treatment with variable laser parameters. The problem presented in the work can be used to extend the knowledge of the areas of application of ESD coatings, especially in sliding friction pairs.
