Metal detector prospecting in Chroustovice yielded finds of bronze artefacts, scattered by agricultural activity. The set of items includes with certainty a circular ornament, the torso of a Blatnica-type cup and a spiral tube. The hoard can be dated to the BD–Ha A1 phase and was placed into a Bronze Age settlement that was older or contemporary.

The article presents the finding of a La Tène rein guide ring from Vendolí, Svitavy district. Morphological-typological analysis has shown that it was a so far unknown type dating to LTD1. From a regional point of view, the finding complements the mosaic consisting of other, so far scarce La Tène artefacts discovered in the Svitavy region and along with them, it testifies to the existence of a communication corridor connecting permanently settled areas in eastern Bohemia and Moravia. In a supra-regional context, it represents a new hybrid form, combining features of certain western and eastern types of rein guide rings which constituted a functional and at the same time representative part of horse harness. Along with some similarly shaped findings, it represents a specific central European variant of these remarkable artefacts associated with the world of late La Tène social elites.

Metal detector survey of the slopes of a salient hill has yielded two brooches of Roman origin, torso of a provincial Roman annular brooch with openwork frame and a strongly profiled brooch type A 70/73f. Objects associated with distinct landmarks can be interpreted as offerings, but this phenomenon of the Roman Period has not yet been paid much attention to in Central Europe.

In 2021, a functionally undetermined ring and a deformed upright of a Roman lantern were discovered with the help of a metal detector on the slope of the Hušák hill in the cadastral district of Lázy (district Svitavy). Both objects exhibit a similar metal composition. This is the second published find of a part of a Roman lantern from the territory of the Czech Republic and from the Barbaricum in general. The question remains whether the presence of a Roman lantern is related to the evidenced military intervention in the form of a Roman temporary military camp at the nearby town of Jevíčko, and whether the deposition on the slope of a prominent landmark was connected with ritual activities, or with metalworking, or with both.

The article deals with the cultural and spatial evaluation of new finds of the eastern type from the Hallstatt and Early La Tène periods discovered in the previous five years in Eastern Bohemia. The main point of our interest was to provide the complex overview of these finds, focused mainly on the provenience, chronological aspect and possible interpretations of their occurrence in Bohemia. Based on a detailed analysis of finds of the eastern type from the whole Bohemia, it was possible in terms of their origin to determinate four groups of finds, including those of the Vekerzug culture, and re-evaluate the chronological framework of the researched issues as well as interpretive aspects of their occurrence not only in Bohemia, but also in the broader Central European context. The occurrence of finds of the eastern type in Bohemia shows similar tendencies as in the neighbouring regions of the Eastern Hallstatt culture, especially in Moravia.
