The period when Saxony appeared along with France, has had a significant impact on the strengthening of its endeavors to modernize both societies. Although full modernization process of them failed, Saxony – regardless of everything – economically strengthened and cemented its position as the Kingdom, even though it has suffered significant demographic and territorial losses, while the foundation of the Duchy of Warsaw emphasized that the decision of founding the favor dismantling treaties do not remove “Polish case” of thinking about the future of Europe. In both societies the issue of “backwardness and growth” was on the agenda. Of course, to a large range it was the Polish society, which in 1800 has been asked if the Poles can stand out on independency? Duchy of Warsaw has answered positively. Within a period of six years has managed to establish Polish Law School, created the independent Polish Army, developed science and education, cultural life bloomed successfully. Although many of those changes had a qualified success nature, because of the significant social resistance, as not everyone could recognize their meaning and importance, nevertheless only with the support of the France-Saxony-Poland association could continue reforms initiated by the lower house of the Polish Parliament (Sejm Wielki).
