The purpose of this paper is to explain an important question related to the text theory, which concerns understanding of processuality. In other words, a concept in which the text “is not” but “is becoming one“. According to the etymology of the term, the homily, in textological practice, may concern different elements that will influence its processuality. In the paper, those elements have been divided into two groups. The first part concerns the substantial content of the homily text. The second refers to its structure. Those two elements enable structuring the text of the homily in such a way as to allow the listeners to follow the train of thought presented by the preacher.

Celem artykułu jest wyjaśnienie istotnego zagadnienia teorii tekstu związanego z zagadnieniem procesualności. W innych słowach: koncepcji, gdzie tekst nie „jest”, ale „staje się”. W lingwistyce tekstu homilia może, zgodnie z etymologią terminu, dotyczyć różnych elementów, które mogą wpłynąć na jej procesualność. W opracowaniu te elementy zostały podzielone na dwie grupy. Pierwsza dotyczy zawartości materialnej tekstu homilii. Druga jest związana ze strukturą. Dzięki tym elementom tekst homilii może zostać uporządkowany w sposób, który pozwoli słuchaczom podążać za prezentowanymi myślami mówiącego.

Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu uporządkowanie zagadnień teologicznych dotyczących głoszenia homilii. Artykuł precyzuje konkretne kroki, które warunkują poprawne przybliżenie misteriów życia Jezusa dla słuchaczy słowa Bożego. W opracowaniu zwrócona zostaje uwaga na prawidłowe odczytanie orędzia kerygmatycznego. Na tej podstawie budowane są kolejne kroki takie jak: poprawne adresowanie orędzia tzn. treści egzystencjalne, pogłębienie przekazywanego misterium tzn. treści didaskalijne, sformułowanie zalecenia moralnego tzn. treści parenetyczne oraz doprowadzenie do doświadczenia Chrystusa w liturgii tzn. treści mistagogiczne.

This article aims to organize theological issues regarding the preaching of the homily. It specifies concrete steps, which determine a correct explanation of mysteries of Jesus’ life for the listeners of the word of God. The study draws attention to the correct interpretation of the kerygmatic message. On this basis, further steps are built such as: right addressing of the message i.e. existential content of the homily, deepening of communicated mystery i.e. didactic content of the homily, expression of a moral recommendation i.e. a parenetic content of the homily and leading to experience of Christ in the liturgy i.e. mistagogical dimension of homily.

Przygotowanie tekstu homilii domaga się respektowania zasad wypracowanych w lingwistyce tekstu. Dzięki temu może powstać spójna i wyraźnie delimitacyjna wypowiedź. Dotyczy to także przepowiadania w zakresie biblijnego przekazu na temat stworzenia. Spójność tekstu wyznaczają tutaj treści zamieszczone w lekcjonarzu. Stanowią one prototekst, który aktualizowany we właściwy sposób może stworzyć intratekst przepowiadania homilijnego. Tak skonstruowana wypowiedź daje z kolei szansę stworzenia intertekstu, gdzie homilista, mówiąco teologii stworzenia może odnieść się do innych dziedzin wiedzy, rozwijając w ten sposób przekaz Objawienia.

The main goal of this paper is to show if and how religious language is functioning in the daily newspaper – Rzeczpospolita. In the article we analyzed all the articles which were included in the Rzeczpospolita from 11th of January 2013 to 11th of February 2013. Through the analysis we came to the following conclusions. (1) In the Rzeczpospolita exists the religious language. (2) The religious language in the Rzeczpospolita has different functions: (a) the referential language function, (b) the expressive language function, (c) the performative language function, (d) the argumentative language function, (e) the communicative language function. (3) The religious language can be not only found in religious writings but also in the daily newspaper.

The controversy around Saints Cyril and Methodius’s mission to the historic Polish lands has remained an issue of heated discussions. Many new implications regarding the mission came to light in perspective of the 1050th anniversary of Poland’s Christianization. In literature, the beginnings of Christianity are convergent in time with the event of the baptism of Mieszko I (Czech influence) and the Christianization in a wider scope (influence of Longobard monks). In most available studies the sources which legitimise non-Latin beginnings of Polish Christianity are sometimes intentionally excluded. There is no mention of the Slavic rituals on Polish grounds before 966. The current state of knowledge confirms Methodian mission among the tribes of the Vistulans and the Polans (it concerns people who lived in the original lands in the Vistula basin). This article, therefore, discusses the scope of mission of both Byzantine Christian theologians in Southern Poland.
