Dwelling is one of the practices that builds the lifestyle of an individual who selects convenient, usually consistent elements from the entire range of communication offers. Analysis shows how living space is organised and presented in new development investments. The aim of the analysis was to reconstruct images of modern housing based on the marketing communication which is presented on development companies’ websites. It was possible to distinguish repetitive narratives about flats and estates considered as spaces that perform functions and serve specific purposes. The concept of JOS (Linguistic Image of the World) was used for the analysis and facilitated the discovery of the representation of the perception of reality contained in language. The research was based on the vocabulary, phraseology and semantics of the texts. The analysis made it possible to perceive and describe five highlights in communication dimensions of living (location, design adaptation, safety, community and comfort). Capturing the relationship between linguistic and social elements and their meaning, significant from the point of view of creating meanings, has led to the conclusion that buying an apartment from a developer equals buying a specific lifestyle. Developers using communication based on social norms and aspirations offer the individual a coherent vision of a “better” future and an ideal life. Despite the slight differences between various estate investments, the picture of residence presented in the marketing communications is universal—it refers to a small catalogue of values.

The paper concerns the analysis of a self-synchronization process of inertial vibrators in general motion. These types of systems are found e.g. in the case of vibratory conveyors, in which the synchronization plane of vibrators is perpendicular to the plane of vibration of the conveyor trough. The analysis is focused on two basic issues related to movement of the vibrator. The first issue concerns conditions for obtaining stable motion in a configuration ensuring generation of useful vibrations. The second one is determination of the value of the synchronizing moment. In order to obtain analytical dependencies as simply as possible, we considered a typical build conveyor and the suspension, whose mathematical description we can bring to a diagonal form. In the paper, we paid attention to the consequences of using suspensions with highly directional properties, e.g. metal-elastomer vibration isolators.

This paper concerns a substitute model of the metal-elastomer vibroinsulator that can find use in the mathematical description of vibration machine suspensions. In the case of a plane system, the flexibility matrix of the vibroinsulator was derived and two typical configurations of machine suspensions: symmetrical and asymmetrical, were analysed. For the case of a spatial motion, the elastic matrix of the vibroinsulator and the method of determining its elements was specified. Due to the non-linear character of the vibroinsulator's work, which is caused by large deformations of elastomeric elements under static loads, the analysis was limited to the surroundings of the work point and linear model. The results of theoretical analyses were confirmed by experimental tests.
