This publication contains the tests results of comparison between virtual visualization of woven fabrics (basic weave structures) and their real counterpart made on the laboratory rapier loom. For computer visualization of woven fabrics appearance the coefficient of variation of yarns diameter and the yarn faults were taken into account. Visualizations were performed using OASYS systems for the optical study of the yarns structure. Samples of woven fabrics were made on laboratory rapier loom. In all there were made 15 woven fabric samples and the same number of computer visualizations was performed.
