Abstrakty
The mechanical parameters of polymer have to be properly identified in order to numerically predict the stiffness of the Polymer Flexible Joint (PFJ), which can be used in expansion joints in precast concrete pavements. The material used in PFJ previously has been often identified as hyperelastic. This work presents the results of an identification of PM-type polymer, used in PFJ. The parameters were calculated based on the results of new laboratory experimental tests of plain polymer. The accuracy of performed identification has been shown by comparison of calculated and experimentally tested data for mediumsized PFJ specimens. (original abstract)
