Abstrakty

Wycena ekonomicznej wartości czasu w transporcie to istotny element współczesnej ekonomiki transportu. Druga połowa XX w. to czas, w którym badania skoncentrowane na próbach takiej wyceny zaczęły na stałe wpisywać się w ekonomiczną teorię użyteczności krańcowej, a analizy oparte na metodzie preferencji wyrażonych i ujawnionych stały się źródłem wiedzy o pieniężnej wartości trudnego do wyceny czasu podróży. Choć obecnie wiele krajów od lat aktualizuje badania dotyczące wartości czasu w transporcie, wykorzystanie wyników tych badań wydaje się ograniczone głównie do oceny inwestycji infrastrukturalnych w transporcie, chociaż wiedza o potencjalnych oszczędnościach wynikających ze skracania czasu przemieszczenia może być cenna również dla szerokiego grona przedstawicieli strony popytowej i podażowej całego rynku transportowego.(abstrakt oryginalny)

Estimation of the value of travel time is an important part of researches in the field of transport economics. This kind of analysis had been introduced into an economic theory of marginal utility in the second half of the XX century. Despite the fact that the time is a non-monetary factor which is hard to be estimated as a monetary value, researches based on a stated and revealed preferences helped to develop some methods of this estimation. A lot of countries have been making analysis of the value of travel time for many years, developing and bringing up to date the effects of their researches. The problem which concern almost all these reports and guidance systems is that the researches results are not used by all of potentially interested groups such as passengers, cargo gestors, transport policy makers etc. Nevertheless the main usage of these effects is visible in an evaluation of transport infrastructure investments.
