Due to the effect of ageing in the labour market, there is a necessity to tackle obstacles arising from employment of older workers. The paper investigates the situation of job opportunities for people over 50 in the Netherlands. In total, 20 into-depth interviews were analysed by using the software Maxqda. The results of the research are described by MAXmaps that show factors influencing job opportunities for people over 50. The findings suggest that companies in the Netherlands are increasingly paying attention to the aging problem of the population. Theoretical and managerial implications of these findings are also discussed. (original abstract)
