Abstrakty
The book offers an analysis of broadly understood problems of new models of consumption taking into account the need of preservation of natural resources, which the author calls sustainable consumption. In the introduction part of her book the author emphasises that sustainable consumption is both dematerialization of the needs and dematerialization of the goods. She presents a relatively comprehensive description of the essence and the characteristics of sustainable consumption, also providing the synonyms such as eco-consumption and ecological consumption, as well as the definition of non-sustainable consumption. The author points that sustainable consumption is to create the society which would have a respect for resources and the system of values other than that of the consumer society or information society.(author's abstract)
