W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono zadłużenie Polski w walutach wymienialnych. Następnie omówiono stosunek między kosztami obsługi zadłużenia, a eksportem Polski za waluty wymienialne.

The relationship between foreign debts of Poland and the state of the domestic market is presented, special consideration given to the sector of consumption goods. The origin of debts and the effect of indebtedness, on the market position in the years 1971-1986 are discussed. Special attention has been crown to the role of the market as a regulator of the national economy, which results from its central position in the back coupling loop which joins the spheres of production and consumption. The paper includes the effect of activities aiming at overcoming the indebtedness crisis on the level of domestic market unbalance. The author outlines the idea of overcoming the unfavourable credit situation, based on bringing to equilibrium the balance of the current volume of foreign trade and redressing simultaneously the equilibrium of the market. The paper includes data on the state of indebtedness and its upward trend in the years 1971-1986 as well as the selected indicators of burdening of the economy with liabilities to foreign countries.
