Completion of the future tasks by the Polish Armed Forces imposes their permanent development to follow the requirements of changeable security environment. The technological progres favoring more advanced technologies of weaponry and means of their delivery leads to creation of smaller but more mobile and effective armed forces. The need of performing logistic and supporting tasks by logistic system of the Polish Armed Forces tends to extend the possibilities concerning logistic support of military troops in functional approach determining an urgency of adjusting the logistic system to structural approach. The logistic system of the PAF experienced its transformation following the permanent changes from its quantity to quality. On considering the next stage of reorganization and development of logistics it is necessary to eliminate any shortcomings in organizing and functioning the logistic system. Its succeeding reorganizations cause not only additional costs but also expose the human factors to new threats. A considerable challenge in the process of logistic support is to organize the support and protection when performing tasks by auxiliary preventive troops selected from the structures of Polish Armed Forces and allocated to the NATO, UN and EU command forces. The purpose of this part of elaboration is to identify the functioning logistic system of PAF to determine possible and necessary changes in the components of logistic structures that in the opinion of this author favor an improvement of functioning this system in the light of challenges of the Polish national security in XXI century resulting from the regulation of its doctrine.
