Omówiono sposoby definiowania i ustalania fair value (wartości godziwej) w amerykańskich i międzynarodowych regulacjach rachunkowości finansowej.
Within the internationally accepted regulations of financial accounting fair value has been being become the main method of measurement for the initial recognition and fresh-start measurement of assets and liabilities. This paper concentrates on fair value definition and on the ways of establishing of its amount. Approaches to fair value within FASB conceptual framework, International Accounting Standards and International Public Sector Accounting Standards are taken into consideration. (original abstract)
