The article presents two subregional examples of Silesian voivodeship transition that depict learning or knowledgeable regions as driving forces for urban economic resilience. It mentions that Silesian voivodeship is a region that possesses some features of a learning region. It offers a conviction about the specific interrelation betweenlearning regions and economic urban resilience. (original abstract)
