The culture spreading is effective to strengthen the economy power of members of the EU. The institutions of the EU take upon themselves activities in the sphere of culture. The main aim of their work are protection of the culture's heritage of Europe and introducing culture of member states to one another. Supporting of culture activities by members of the EU, the activities which are directed into the artistic enterprises on the European scale, take place by special programs on which culture's institutions place their projects on the agenda. The members of an association may also take part in these programs (e.g. the program "Culture 2000"). In this article the importance of culture in the process of integration of Poland into the European Union is emphasized because culture may increase consciousness of Poles of their own nationality by creating a bond between Poland and other European communities. An audiovisual policy which is of great importance in the process of integration of Poland into the European Union is one of significant issues of the present culture policy. Poland takes upon itself activities to harmonize its law of audiovisual policy with the EU law in this sphere (e.g. amendments of The Law on Copyright And Neighboring Rights). The main purpose of the EU's audiovisual policy is to create a common production and distribution of audiovisual programs market and to create a freedom of television broadcasting. As a result television programs will be more interesting to the viewers in the EU and in the candidate's countries. It is emphasized that these activities will also increase the variety of culture in these countries. At the end of the article there is a resume which state that an importance of process of the integration of Europe depends not only on the economy aspects, but also on socio-cultural processes.
