Przedsiębiorstwa i łańcuchy dostaw stale poszukują sposobów zapewnienia sobie przewagi konkurencyjnej. W dążeniach do zdobycia tej przewagi ważną rolę mogą odgrywać kompetencje łańcucha dostaw. Celem artykułu jest próba rozpoznania najważniejszych przejawów oddziaływania kompetencji łańcucha dostaw na tworzenie przewagi konkurencyjnej w świetle badań przeprowadzonych przez Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Badania te opierają się na autorskim modelu rozwoju łańcucha dostaw opracowanym przez CSC. W artykule przedstawiono również wyniki najnowszych badań CSC związanych z kluczowymi kompetencjami liderów łańcucha dostaw, umożliwiającymi osiąganie trwałej, długofalowej przewagi konkurencyjnej. Enterprises and supply chains are constantly looking for ways leading to competitive advantage creation. In seeking to gain such advantage an important role may play supply chain competencies. The article attempts to identify the most important symptoms of supply chain competencies impact on competitive advantage creation in the light of research conducted by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). These studies are based on the CSC's supply chain evolution model. The article also presents the results of recent CSC research concerning core competencies of supply chain leaders, enabling them to achieve sustained, long-term competitive advantage.
