Abstrakty

EN

The text makes an attempt to evaluate the extent to which the present economic crisis will affect the changes and development of the contemporary economic thought. It shows that modern macroeconomics reflects to a considerable degree the neoclassical idea of how economy works. In theoretical categories the stake in the present debate is the fate, future and reputation of the neoclassical economics. Within the area of economic policy the current debate comes down to the reply to the question whether or not we have at our disposal efficient tools to affect the economy. The article indicates that it is unlikely for the present crisis to change the situation in the economic theory because the potential alternative to the neoclassical approach, dominating at present, is objectively extremely complicated.
