Strategic Orientation in Contemporary Project Management - Conditions and Evolution

Abstrakty
Celem artykułu jest prezentacja roli, jaką w rozwoju zarządzania projektami odegrało zaadaptowanie osiągnięć zarządzania strategicznego. Wpływ koncepcji dotyczących strategii organizacji jest widoczny między innymi w badaniach nad rolą projektów we wdrażaniu strategii i zapewnieniu spójności strategicznych celów organizacji i celów projektów, nad interesariuszami projektów, programami zmian strategicznych oraz wielokryterialnymi systemami pomiaru osiągnięć. Oprócz przeglądu literatury w artykule zaprezentowano problemy uwzględniania strategii organizacji w metodykach i standardach opracowywanych przez stowarzyszenia praktyków i agendy rządowe. W końcowej części artykułu dokonano przeglądu i przeanalizowano wyniki badań empirycznych poświęconych prezentowanej problematyce opublikowanych w ostatnich latach w wiodących pismach naukowych z zakresu zarządzania projektami. The main aim of the paper is to present selected issues of the adaptation of strategic management concepts in the development of project management. The influence of strategic management in the area of project management is visible in the research on the role of projects in strategy implementation and on the alignment between organization's and project's goals, on project stakeholders, programs of strategic change, as well as on multidimensional systems of performance measurement. In the first part of the article the results of the literature review are presented. Next, the issues of organization strategy in management standards prepared by professional bodies and governmental agencies are discussed. And finally, the review and comparison of the results of empirical research published so far in main journals on project management are demonstrated and analyzed. (original abstract)
