Upełnomocnienie jest to zespół celowych działań i praktyk przywódczych, mających na celu maksymalizację wkładu pracowników w sukces organizacji. W artykule przedstawiono główne założenia oraz istotę upełnomocnienia. Zaprezentowano również pojęcie upełnomocnienia jako narzędzia stosowanego przez współczesnych liderów.

In recent years there has been a great deal of interest in management methods which could help an organization and its participants to face continuous changes and uncertainty of the environment. The conception greatly contributing to the discussed issue is employee empowerment. In this paper the conception of employee empowerment, its essence and fundamental assumptions are presented. Studies of literature on the subject point out to the importance of empowerment in the context of strategic leadership and its ties with entrepreneurship as the way of encouraging organizational changes.
