The first part of the study compares the periodization of fluctuations observed in Poland's economic development in the period 1958-1989, as found in the literature. The second and third parts present author's own analysis of fluctuation seen in investment, referring to the model of the investment cycle developed by T. Bauer and the periodization of investment cycles in Poland proposed by K. Markowski. (original abstract)
