Artykuł dotyczy rynku Commercial Papers, jednego z segmentów rynku pieniężnego. Autor definiuje Commercial Papers, prezentuje tradycyjne CP w krajach o rozwiniętych rynkach pieniężnych, a następnie omawia emisje instrumentów finansowych zbliżonych formą do CP, funkcjonujących w Polsce.
The paper presents the commercial papers market - one of the segments of the money market. The introduction includes a definition of commercial papers - short-term, indebted securities that are issued by non-financial undertakings. In the first part the author has presented traditional commercial papers used in the developing countries' markets. The US financial market serves as an example in explaining the principles, goal and legal framework of that financial instrument. The author also examines the commercial papers that have been issued so far in Poland, underlining their relatively narrow applicable effect in our market. At the same time, the author points at the considerable potential for the development of these instruments in our country and underlines the benefits for both parties to the transaction - the issuer and the buyer.
