Abstrakty

Autorka przedstawia pojęcie ekosystemu i ekosystemowe podejście w zarządzaniu zasobami naturalnymi. Uważa, że należy wypracować globalną strategię walki o zachowanie równowagi ekologicznej i dogłębnie zająć się zagadnieniem ekosystemu, ponieważ ekosystemowe podejście jest szansą na polepszenie i odbudowę środowiska.

For many years the ecological problem has been treated as a global one. It means that the natural environment is in danger. If we cannot solve this problem successfully it may influence negatively the life of people in many parts of the world, in extreme situation - even the whole mankind. Peple live, work, relax and feed in the natural environment. This is why we should be aware of the fact that we are placed in a certain ecological system and our existence depends on the ecosystem we live in. In order to preserve it we should abide by certain environmental rules which have crucial influence on functioning of this system as a whole. Now the gentle ecological balance has been unsettled as a result of the extinction of various animal and plant species and as a result of uncontrolled exploitation of natural resourses. This type of human activity is supposed to contribute to progress and welfare but, on the contrary, it does not bring people any profits - when we look at it for a longer period of time. The definition of ecosystem is one of the most important issues in ecology. It is a full ecological system which consists of all populations inhabiting certain environment and interrelating with one another by exchanging matter and energy. In order to preserve ecosystem people often try to rebuild it or to keep it in a good condition, productivity and biological variability by means of appropriate natural resources management which is totally associated with the social and economical goals. That is why the task of the "Approach to Ecosystem" method is keep the natural resources, community and economics in a good condition. Our generation faces more and more problems. Thus, competitiveness and conflicts over natural resources must be replaced by cooperation and common will to preserve rich natural resources. (original abstract)
