Autorka oceniła dotychczasowy aspekt tranzytowy polityki transportowej Polski postulując równocześnie konkretne posunięcia w tym zakresie takie jak: kierowanie tranzytem przez jeden podmiot, dostosowanie infrastruktury transportowej do standardów europejskich, wprowadzenie nowoczesnych technologii transportowych, informatyzacji itp.
General problems concerning the effectiveness of Poland's hitherto adopted transit policy are discused in the article. Special attention is paid to the ability of applying and choosing the right transit policy measures. They allow to create favourable organizational, legal, economic, financial, technical and operational conditions for rendering high quality transit services. This objective should be consistent with the aims and directions of Polish foreign and transport policy. The article also emphasizes the paramount importance of investment, international cooperation in the field of infrastructure and transport technologies, combined hauls and computer systems for enriching the Polish offer and integrating the Polish transport system with the European system. Transit as a form of exporting transport services can bring benefits to the Polish economy only when the services are of top quality, proper size and meet the demand for transit movement.(original abstract)
